Etä: Introduction to Greek – A Journey Through Language and Culture

Embark on a captivating linguistic and cultural journey through Greece with our ”Introduction to Greek” course! This program will introduce you to the fundamentals of the Greek language and culture in a dynamic and interactive way. Classes will meet daily for 120 minutes, offering a perfect balance between theory and practice.

Using the book Greek A – Ελληνικά Α, you’ll explore essential grammar,

vocabulary, and everyday phrases, while also gaining insight into Greek culture.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a basic understanding of Greek, be able to navigate simple conversations, and feel inspired to continue your journey into the language. Join us and let’s take the first step together in learning Greek, one word at a time!

A few words about me

My name is Zinovia, but everybody calls me Zina. I was born and raised in a small village in northern Greece.

I studied Russian Language and Literature, as well as Slavic Studies, at the University of Athens. After completing my studies, I moved to the Dominican Republic, where I lived for seven years.

During my time there, I studied Spanish and worked as an English teacher at a private primary school. I also taught Greek through private in-person lessons.

For the past three years, I have been working mainly as an online Spanish teacher. At the same time, I am studying Finnish in a language course for immigrants and Spanish Language and Culture at the Hellenic Open University.

Last year, I had the pleasure of teaching Greek to Finnish speakers in a small course, and I am looking forward to doing it again.

I love languages, teaching, and meeting people from different cultures.
